As a school we believe that we are stand in loco parentis to
our children during school hours and the said incident has truly unnerved us
and raised genuine apprehensions about the enhancement of security and safety
of our children while in our care.

As a responsible school management, we have initiated a
structured and time-bound intervention to substantially review and augment the
existing safety and security systems in the organization.

taking steps to strengthen the perimeter walls of our schools as well as entry
and exit points so that any external intrusion will be minimized and at no
point in time any unauthorized person will be allowed to enter the school

We are equipping all our buses with a wireless
tapping machine that will record the parent ID before the student is handed

background verification check by the police authorities will be made mandatory
for our faculty academic, non academic & third party staff.

We are in
negotiation with behavioral training organizations that will re-train the bus
drivers and the bus maids with respect to child psychology and conduct periodic
interventions to groom them on standard operating procedures pertaining to
children availing transport. We already have a buffer of verified bus drivers
who are deployed in case our regular drivers are not available.

that at all points in time our male teachers are accompanied by female
education facilitators during any interface with children and further measures
will be undertaken to ensure that there are no lapses in the existing
procedures for the same.

A drop Of Blood, hopes for life!
A blood donation camp was organized at VIBGYOR
High, Kolhapur on 1st February 2014.Where teachers, admin, and
ancillary staff voluntarily donated blood. The camp was organized by VIBGYOR
HIGH in association with “Arpana Blood Bank” in
the School campus under the supervision of Doctor along with four supporting
staff.

51 units of blood collected would go to the blood Bank. This
blood donation camp was organized under the aegis of the Social Welfare of
VIBGYOR High. Prior to the camp, staff members were apprised of the benefits
related to blood donation by the Volunteers of Arpana Blood Bank.
According to the information presented on the
occasion, only 50percent of the country’s blood requirement is fulfilled
through such blood donation camps. Hence, there is a need to create awareness
amongst our youth for active participation in such a noble cause. On this

Report by India Education bureau, Mumbai:VIBGYOR HIGH, a premium chain of world class schools in the country, is coming up with its new school campus at Airoli, Navi Mumbai. This is the first school in Airoli to offer parents and students an option of international curriculum in association with the Cambridge International Education of UK (CIE, UK). The other board choice is the Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE). The admission process for both the boards for the academic year 2014-15 has now begun at the school campus.
In the first academic year 2014-15, the school will begin with the Pre-Primary level (playschool, nursery, junior and senior KG) and also the two board options – the international curriculum of CIE, UK (grades I to IV) or the Indian board of ISCE (Grades I too V). In future, the school will scale up to a full fledge K-12 model wherein the ICSE section will go up to grade X and the CIE, UK section up to the A Level which is equivalent to the grade XII in the Indian context.
Occupying 2 acres area, the VIBGYOR HIGH, Airoli campus is designed be a truly world class set-up with modern infrastructure, facilities and child-friendly learning environment. In sync with the VIBGYOR’s philosophy of bringing the global best practices in school education to India, the VIBGYOR HIGH, Airoli will also implement VIBGYOR’s customized ‘integrated and scripted curriculum’ that conforms to the guidelines of the respective boards in terms of the contents but transcend beyond the traditional subject boundaries with a focus on activity-based experiential learning. This Diwali, we at VIBGYOR HIGH have celebrated Diwali with a unique social awareness initiative “Spare a thought”.
Under this campaign hundreds of VIBGYOR students and teachers from the VIBGYOR network of 17 schools in 7 cities, visited the local offices of different community / public services departments such as police stations, hospitals, fire-brigade, municipal ward offices etc. to thank these work forces and expressed gratitude for their uninterrupted services 365 days a year to so that we citizens are able to enjoy our holidays and festivals safely and peacefully.
The VIBGYORites lit up diwali lamps and distributed sweets and created a festive mood at these workplaces. They also carried with them a giant ‘Thank You’ banner featuring a painting made by students and scripted with signatures of all the students and teachers. This little gesture of students touched the hearts of these civic services staff and they all appreciated the deep thinking and social sense of VIBGYORites
